The 2026 Acura ZDX continues the brand's foray into the all-electric market, utilizing General Motors' highly adaptable Ultium battery architecture. As a mid-size luxury crossover, the ZDX revives a historic Acura nameplate but reimagines it for the zero-emissions era. It combines Acura's signature sharp styling and driver-focused interior with the proven electric underpinnings shared with the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Blazer EV, resulting in a refined and capable premium SUV.

Performance is a key focus for the ZDX, particularly in the high-performance Type S trim. The standard A-Spec model features a rear-mounted motor producing 358 horsepower, with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option available. The range-topping Type S boasts a potent dual-motor setup that delivers 500 horsepower and 544 lb-ft of torque, propelling the heavy crossover from zero to sixty in just over four seconds. The Type S also includes an adaptive air suspension, massive Brembo front brakes, and performance-tuned adaptive dampers to ensure it handles with the agility expected of an Acura.

Powering the ZDX is a substantial 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This large capacity allows the single-motor A-Spec to achieve an EPA-estimated range of up to 313 miles, while the more powerful Type S still manages a respectable 278 miles per charge. Inside the cabin, the ZDX offers a tech-forward environment featuring an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in. Premium touches like a standard Bang & Olufsen audio system and a panoramic moonroof elevate the daily driving experience.
