GV60

By Doug Clayton, EVGrok Staff Writer

The 2026 Genesis GV60 enters the new model year with a comprehensive mid-cycle refresh, enhancing its position in the competitive luxury EV segment. Built on the acclaimed E-GMP platform shared with Hyundai and Kia, the updated GV60 benefits from a larger 84 kWh battery pack, replacing the previous 77.4 kWh unit. This upgrade translates to improved driving range across both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations, while maintaining the ultra-fast 800-volt charging architecture that allows the vehicle to charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 20 minutes at a 350 kW DC fast charger.

Performance remains a strong suit for the GV60, particularly in the top-tier Performance AWD trim. Dual electric motors deliver up to 483 horsepower when the steering-wheel-mounted Boost button is engaged, propelling the crossover from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. The 2026 model also introduces subtle exterior styling tweaks, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, updated lighting signatures, and new alloy wheel designs that improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside the cabin, the GV60 continues to offer a tech-forward and luxurious environment. The signature Crystal Sphere gear selector remains a focal point, flipping over to reveal the shift dial when the vehicle is powered on. Genesis has updated the infotainment system with a more intuitive interface and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Advanced driver-assistance systems have also been refined, offering smoother highway driving assist and improved automated parking capabilities.
