The 2026 Lotus Emeya represents the British marque's ambitious foray into the electric grand touring segment, directly challenging established heavyweights like the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT. Built on the Electric Premium Architecture (EPA), the Emeya utilizes a 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that supports ultra-fast 350 kW DC charging, allowing it to replenish from 10 to 80 percent in under 20 minutes. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system ensures exceptional grip and power delivery across all driving conditions.

In its top-tier Emeya R configuration, the powertrain generates a staggering 905 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque, propelling the heavy sedan from zero to 60 mph in just under 2.8 seconds. To manage this immense power and its substantial curb weight, Lotus has equipped the Emeya with an advanced active air suspension system, active aerodynamics including a prominent rear spoiler, and massive carbon-ceramic brakes. The standard models offer a more modest but still potent 603 horsepower, prioritizing extended range and touring comfort.

Inside, the Emeya departs from Lotus's historically minimalist approach, offering a highly luxurious and tech-forward cabin. Premium materials like Alcantara, Nappa leather, and sustainable textiles cover nearly every surface, while a massive central infotainment screen and a slim driver display handle vehicle controls. Available in both four- and five-seat configurations, the Emeya provides ample passenger space and a respectable cargo capacity, making it a genuinely practical daily driver with hypercar-level performance.
